It's been three years since Clifton and I said, "I do" to each other. Actually, what I said was:
"I, Alison, promise to love you, Clifton; to be true and faithful to you always; to cherish and delight in you; forsaking all others; to encourage you to walk more intimately with Christ; and pursue Him as your first love; to be humble, gentle, and patient; to diligently preserve the unity of the Spirit and the bond of peace; to be tenderhearted; and to forgive you just as God in Christ has forgiven me."
It's three years later, and life has begun to teach us how to live those promises. Now more than words, they are shared experiences, growth, laughter, tears. We've welcomed new ones to our family, lost loved ones, made a new home, struggled with our careers, laughed at ourselves, fallen on our knees before God, and hoped and planned and dreamed about what our next 70 years together might look like.

Stunningly beautiful! Your promises are perfect, and so inspiring. We've been thinking about you both today -- hope it was a wonderful anniversary!!
Happy (belated) anniversary! Wow, planning for 70 more years! If any couple can do it, it's you and Clifton :o) We sure hope to see you soon, since we haven't seen you since your wedding! All the best to you both, and sweet Naomi. Jenny
