April brought to you by Annika
Way too many hours were spent dissecting out these tree roots so we could get the stump out.
Welcome to spring soccer everyone - where one game its 70 degrees, and the next game, 2 days later, it is so cold the fans look like this in the blowing snow.
Longmont High School prom! Naomi and her friends got ready before the boys showed up.
Naomi went with a nice boy who is her friend. Only her friend. Don't you dare assume anything else.
These are her closest school friends -- Maddy, Luna, and Sova (from left to right).
And the whole group of girl friends!
Only friends...
With Maddy... This is Aunt Lori's fabulous dress from a college formal!
...and Luna. This summarizes their friendship perfectly.
They went to a sushi bar for dinner with their dates.
At prom
Naomi danced in an art auction fundraiser for her ballet company.
Duck Duck was all dripped out for the Gator's championship game. We're finally good at something - it only took 17 years.
Sarah became an avid high jumper this spring. Mom only has video of her clearing the bar. So instead here is a photo of her missing.
She loved learning the high jump.
Along with high jump, she ran the 400 and 800 with PRs of 1:14 and 2:58 respectively.
And how can we forget about Sarah's long jump talent. What a multisport athlete.
Mom and Aunt Val had their annual spring moms' weekend away to work on scrapbooks.
Sarah continued soccer as well, still playing defense (occasionally bodying people).
Naomi slipped on the stairs while wearing fuzzy socks. Her ballet teacher said she couldn't go on pointe without xrays, so off Naomi and Dad headed to urgent care. This is Naomi's second urgent care visit for injuring her foot slipping on stairs with fuzzy socks. It's looking suspicious.
Look who made it in the news! It's not a lot but we'll take it (fourth column to the right). Shout out to the freshmen on varsity!
Sarah's art based on Rosa Parks was in the district art show.
This is me at a track meet with my friends Carissa and Katie after our 1600.
Easter baskets!
Family pics down by the lake.
Cousins! One is different from the rest...
The kids' table for Easter Brunch
All the kids right before the egg hunt. It took way longer than expected to find the egg hidden on Naomi, which is quite obvious in this picture.
As the kids get older, egg hunts have begun to look more like this.
Besties from the beginning.
Every year mom takes these pics.
Like this in 2018. We've come a long way.
This is my soccer buddy Cora after our last regular season game in the freezing rain. Cora has been one of my closest friends -- we met during XC but really got close during soccer.
This year I've been going to Young Life at school. Mom and Dad went to a fundraiser dinner at a cool airplane hangar.
In CSB's spring performance of Cinderella there was a fairy from each season that gifts something to Cinderella. Naomi was the fall fairy who gave Cinderella her pumpkin.
This is the group of dancers that put on Brunch of Ballet, a mini preview of their formal Cinderella performance later in the spring.
With Lily, the winter fairy.
This was also one of my close friends during soccer season, Jenna.
I'm getting my 1st academic letter!
Naomi's third academic letter.
These are my friends, Mya and Rehanna.
And Naomi with her ballet friends at the academic awards night.
