Quick update: We had an ultrasound Friday afternoon with the perinatologist to make sure our little one is growing well, and she is. She is right where she is supposed to be in all body measurements, and is continuing to outdo herself in head growth--she's almost two weeks ahead of schedule there. They predict that she's at the 75th percentile for weight, and the specialist who has been following me said that I could be seen by a regular OBGYN for the rest of the pregnancy, though they will do close monitoring from week 34 on.
Friday afternoon we started our 10.5 hour drive to Bartlesville. We stopped in the happening town of Hays, Kansas for the night where we opened birthday presents for Clifton. Nothing like spending your birthday in a car!
The weekend was wonderful. We were able to spend time with good friends (Thanks again to the Farmers and Greenes for feeding us so well while we were there). The highlight of the weekend was a shower that for us that was attended by family (Uncle Gary and Aunt Sara coming all the way from Texas!) and friends. It was a great gathering and fun to meet some of the people from church who take such good care of Clifton's mom.
The drive back we did all in one day and was uneventful. We have been working on the nursery: the walls are painted, the furniture assembled, outfits hanging in the closet! We have childbirth classes starting in a couple weeks. I feel well, though am tiring of making three trips a night to the bathroom. I think I will welcome a baby's crying keeping me up over that sensation! My joints are holding up remarkably well.
We are doing wonderfully, and feel most blessed for this.

Alison, Callie Feyen just gave me this address (were your ears burning? we've been talking about you!) and it was so fun to see how you are doing and also see pictures of your family at Christmas.
