Our Christmas

It's been a little while since I've posted--things seem to get so busy around the holidays. The highlight of our December was our trip to Florida. We were both able to get the week of Christmas off, so we traveled to warmth and sunshine. We stayed at my parents' house, along with my three brothers, their wives, and four nieces and nephews. There was enough noise and chaos that my parents actually moved out for the week! My mom often says that the best gift she gave her children was each other, and it is so fun to see how much that gift multiplies as our family continues to grow and grow.

The weather was as perfect as I ever remember it being in Florida in December. We made multiple trips to the beach, did some nature hikes, went for lots of walks, played games, made puzzles, and even braved one quick dip in the pool. I was able to catch up with some of my friends at a wonderful baby shower that my mom and sisters-in-law planned.

Now we are back in Colorado. The Christmas decorations have come down, and it's time to get seriously working on the nursery! This weekend: paint.
