On Friday afternoon we left for our vacation, which is a Hartemink family reunion to celebrate 40 years of my parents 'marriage... We left from Denver, had a touchdown in Nashville where we exchanged passengers but didn't have to get off the plane ourselves, and continued on to Durham. Fortunately we had the seat empty between us--I believe it was one of two empty seats on the plane for Southwest where you get to pick your own seat. Apparently sitting in the back of a plane in a middle seat between parents holding an infant is pretty undesireable. Naomi did pretty well with the flight. She was awake and playing for the first two and a half hours to N-ville, passing the time by putting various things in her mouth, reading the paper, and having large volume spit-up. She slept from N-ville to Durham.
