We started our week in Minnesota. Sam had this super cute clip that held even on Sarah's few wisps of hair. So cute.
After church the kids hit the slip 'n slide.
Naomi couldn't quite get the run and dive thing down. Mostly just run, then sit, then push yourself down.
And then some time in the pool
And then some smores. I mean, how much more fun could these kids have in one weekend?
The girls. Annika's always prepared wearing that backpack.
Delicious, sticky mess.
But worth every sticky minute of it.
Even Kate got into this one.
The boys definitely had the best technique.
Sarah? Not so much.
Kids + Smores = mandatory bath time.
Made *way* more cool by these glow sticks.
More snuggles with Zach.
Lily scraped her knee when she fell off her bike so the girls found some leaves to act as balms. Our little hippies.
And here she is, four days after Chris started working with her, riding a bike by herself!
For a better look:
Annika was a climbing monkey at this playground.
And then ran the bases at the baseball field. Someone should tell her she can drop the bat next time.
The girls climbing trees in their "Fairy Tree Fort." We had such a great time with the Minnesota Harteminks. Naomi was in tears leaving. Chris and Sam, remind me to tell you about her elaborate plan for us to move in with you so we could all be one really big family. :)
Back at home Annika's showing off her skillz: http://youtu.be/l-sZ4cqSUOo
And more of Naomi. The girl is really taking off--as long as she can ride in a circle without starts and stops. She came to a stop but didn't know to put her foot down and got a pretty awesome elbow scrape. She was not in a good enough mood to let me take a picture of it while she was looking tough:
Our ballerina Sarah
It was raining outside so the girls ran around (clothed--this was taken afterwards) in the back yard and splashed in puddles.
They wanted Sarah in their picture. Sarah didn't want any part of it. Welcome to our life.
My life got awesome when Naomi offered to take Sarah for a walk. 20 minutes of quiet.
Annika wanted to try too. I mostly just wanted to document this super sweet outfit she put together. Just so you know, the shirt's on backwards.
Two little teeth.
And there was a full double rainbow. God is good.
