Naomi and I ready to head out for her senior pics until smoke from Canada obscured the mountains and we had to reschedule...
So fun to watch Annika and Sarah Mae run in different races at the same XC meet!
Sarah nearing the end of her race.
She kicked butt on her 1.5 mile course!
Annika finishing her 5K -- big meet, about 25 high schools.
Also kicking butt with some stiff competition.
Competition stiff enough that she's sharing a picture in the the Boulder paper with the previous National XC winner!
Also made the Longmont paper.
Anni with some of her bestie team mates.
Some of the varsity runners with their middle school PE teacher/XC coach.
Sarah went directly from her race to her soccer game.
Typical fall Saturday in the Railsback family!
Okay, this is a no filter photo of a soccer game wrapping up. Colorado is something else.
We hosted a team dinner for the XC team. Here's a few of them. Wanna guess how much pasta you can go through with 30 running teenagers the night before a race??
The girls before the Liberty Commons Invite
Varsity girls pic!
Annika with the leader pack
Annika got third, team got second!
Sarah at the Westview Zoom.
This is our elementary school PE teacher who had all three girls and we adore!
Sarah got 4th!
There was no official timing at this race, so this will have to do.
Aaannd right back to a soccer game.
After the loss (theft) of all of the costumes, Centennial State Ballet is getting a whole new look, mostly hand made by one of our amazing and talented moms (who has donated more than 1200 hours in six months to making these!). These are the new Flowers demi-soloist costumes in the making!

This is Naomi (who says she hates math but turns out to be pretty good at it) teaching Annika precalc. Grateful I am no longer asked to help with math!
Annika got her permit on her birthday!
That and some take out sushi was all the celebration she had time for with school, XC and soccer!
Back at it on the Lyons course.
Sarah got 19th
Annika and her team at Lyons the next morning.
Bob Ross birthday party -- painting and eating and laughing with these sweet friends.
And a not bad final product!
Happy birthday, kid! So proud of you!
College applications underway -- first application submitted!
Sarah had a meet in 50 degree rain and wind, and it was miserable.
Probably worse for Floridians who thought they were signing up for a beautiful week in September in Colorado.
All the mud! Now this is cross country. None of this flat golf course with no wind stuff.
16th!
Back at Lyons for the district race.
5th place!
Oma and Opa got to experience the joy of running all over a cross country course to try to see your runner at multiple spots. It's how the adults get their steps.
Friday night lights!
Homecoming pics with Naomi and her crew!
And Annika and her crew!
A couple friends came right from a volleyball tournament and had a 30 minute turn around time!
Cross country tan lines.
The parents :)
The girls found each other at the dance.
Took mom and dad on a hike looking for fall colors.
Love this guy!
