Early July 2012 (part two)

While we are happy to have the girls be so adventurous and independent wanting to do the hikes themselves, it really slows you down.

Photos from our camping trip in South Dakota. It was a great trip--the girls did really well. There was a lot to see and do. The only disappointment was getting to South Dakota and realizing they had a fire ban too! Ugh. Takes away a big reason we love camping. I'm thankful that we packed the electric griddle at the last second. Overall, a great weekend. We'll have to do it again when the kids are older and will actually remember it.

Clifton's dad (and the rest of our family) walked these same footsteps around the 1960 time frame. I remember (and still have grampa's pictures) of Mt. Rushmore and Needles Road. We also walked through Wind Cave. Great pictures - especially at the lake.

Wow, looks like so much fun!

She's clearly trying to get away from those rabid kids on her tail. She apparently didn't do well on http://www.howmanyfiveyearoldscouldyoutakeinafight.com/

What an ass.

How's her pink eye, because that burro looks sick.

Steve & Suzi Parsons said...

Again, sick or dying, right? Not looking well.

She's not the brightest bulb in the chandelier, but I wouldn't say she's missing the top of her head. Geez you're mean.

...and have that kid carry a monkey.

dude, that monkey leash was awesome.

i thought it's eyes looked kindof gross too, but, meh, you only live once. no one's ever died from bacteria from a burro's eye, right?

I think we just got lucky. :)
