April 2026

Annika had some great meets with her 4x800 team

Look who got into Northeastern!

Sarah started her track season this month and was super speedy at the 4x400

Also loves pushing and being pushed by her friend River in the 1600.

With Mya and Cora after another Longmont soccer win!

Friday night lights 3200m

Easter Sunday with some of our church besties -- love that these kids grow up together!

Gotta work for those eggs!

Annual Easter photo of Annika and Asher

And of Naomi and Amelia -- a little different this year with Amelia off at college :)

Never too old for their Easter baskets

Sarah locked in for her 4x400

The poor Wendy's worker in the middle of nowhere, Colorado who probably serves 20 people in a shift when she sees the entire LHS women's soccer program roll in at once... My favorite part of this picture: their coach hiding outside like he wants nothing to do with this

Naomi with her school bestie's senior soccer banner. Sometimes the person you sit next to in sixth grade because your last names are adjacent in alphabetical order is just the person you need in your life.

This dog is so so loved.

A few more soccer pics :)

The rivalry game! Annika has played club with most of these girls (and four others who we missed getting in the pic) since she was nine, and now they get to play against each other! Don't be fooled -- no one is taking it easy just because they are old friends -- probably just the opposite. Last year the other team won; this year we won. So much fun to see them together.

...and a few more track pics. I'm not sure why I feel the need to capture a few photos at every meet because running is running, and the pictures all kinda look the same, but I can't help it.

National Honor Society induction ceremony for Annika.

With some of her close school friends afterwards

Another soccer win!

Still undefeated!

Choosing a college was really tough for Naomi -- weighing location with opportunities with vibe with cost with fit. This is the day she chose Calvin University for next year and we went out to celebrate! (Mya is one of our favorite friends and humans in general -- technically Annika's friend, but we all claim her, so she was invited along for the froyo celebration!)

Naomi and McKenna with the plans for fall!

Families take turns hosting soccer dinners before varsity games, so here is the crew at Cora's.

Amazing sunset -- no filters, no edits -- from the top of the stadium over Longmont High.

Senior night for the soccer team is always a little emotional, knowing you're playing your last few games together....

Luna is another friend that both Annika and Naomi claim :)

I'm not sure the origin of the belly button family, but that's what's going on here.

Senior prom -- how did we get here so fast? I really tried to narrow down but here you go!

Doing the Griddy

Back to the pitch for the game that sealed the conference title

This picture is blurry but it blows my mind how in just a few years we got to here....

...from here. It was just a second ago.

After the game with the team mates who played in that SV FC club with her

And now they're conference champions. For the first time in school history!!

Naomi's post on instagram that night -- sweet to see how they love each other.
.
Sarah ready to take off as the first leg of the 4x400m

Her favorite race is the 1600m.. when it's over...

...and she got sub-6 in her last meet of the season.

Sarah with some of her track buddies.

Sarah and Sadie had a sleep over that included lots of running, Percy Jackson watching and sunset hunting.

Naomi's senior spotlight for her medical and bioscience academy internship with Uncle Dave

There was a ceremony after the poster presentation for the students who completed the four year MBSA program.

These are the MBSA 2026 grads.

Annika at the Longmont High Academic Awards night.

...and Naomi

Thanks for all these wonderful pics, Allison. Love how you interspersed baby pics with the present. You have been on my mind a lot, been meaning to text. Hope this new season of life has not been too hard!
