Week Five

What happened to my sleeps-all-the-time baby?

This is one example of why nannies are cooler than moms.

As much as I try to let them get messy and do their own thing...

...I don't think I've ever let them get elbow deep in cake batter.

Getting ready to decorate the tree with Oma and Opa

I'm pretty proud of myself for fighting the urge to rearrange the girls' ornament hanging this year.

Which means we have a disproportionate number of ornaments on the bottom couple feet of the tree.

Clifton got a couple near the top for me.

When they're good they are very very good...

If she's awake...

...she's got company.

We celebrated her one month birthday this week!

This is her "concerned" face. Apparently she's as bothered as I am that she's getting big so fast.

Running around together. This usually ends up with someone on the floor.

More time with Sarah

Naomi "helping" Opa do a puzzle.

Annika making sure Sarah doesn't need a paci.

Hanging out with Timothy

We had a special big girl date together to see Disney Princesses on Ice. Heaven for Naomi.

We went with Suzi and Amelia..

Naomi wanted to know things like how all the princesses lived in that small castle on the ice.

More of the concerned face.

Concerned? Or startled? Hard to say.

This is your little preview of why it takes a couple hundred attempts before we get an acceptable Christmas photo.

Ready for Longmont Lights--our city's holiday festival

Complete with parade with lots of floats and lights...

...bundled up children...

...hot chocolate and firepits...

...and fireworks...

...that someone's loving parent should've warned Annika about. As it turns out, if you don't warn your child who is afraid of loud noises (vacuums included) about the big booms, she'll start sobbing. Lesson learned.

Looks like you guys have already done so much for the Christmas season! We'll finally have our tree up tomorrow. :) Sarah is changing already so fast... can't wait to see her and everyone else in a few weeks!

"If she's awake, she's got company." That brought tears to my eyes.
